Carpet of Bluebells - Ballachulish, Scotland

During a spring visit to Scotland we were on the hunt for Bluebells and this church near Glencoe did not disappoint. A light rain earlier that afternoon had left the grass and bluebells looking their best so we set to work finding the best angle to capture the lovely carpet of colour.

Behind the Shot

This was one of the easier shots I’ve captured. The only real challenge was finding a gap in the traffic where you see the road in the top right of the frame. There was some kind of cycle procession slowly working their way along the road so there was a huge line of traffic waiting behind them. After what felt like an eternity, I finally saw a break in the traffic and snapped off this shot in the temporary lull.

Thanks for looking
